Antique Angle Mfg Co. Double Angle Lamp with Embossed Brass Base

From the Angle Manufacturing Company, an antique double angle lamp with an ornately embossed brass base in the vine and leaf pattern and obscure glass globes to sides. The fixture has been converted to an electric pendant fixture. The angle lamp was invented by Thomas Mara Fell and patented in 1888. By changing the placement of the burner and setting it on an angle, Fell created a lamp with less under-shadow, that cast more light on the area below. Wall mounted lamps typically came with single burners, and hanging fixtures came with two to four burners.
Condition
Tested as working. The glass globes have been replaced.
