Ridgeway Tempus Fugit Grandfather Clock

A tall-case clock by Ridgeway. The tall-case, or grandfather clock, has a brass pendulum and three weights housed inside a mahogany case. The front part is glass to reveal the weights and pendulum. The top section of the case has a broken arch pediment with a finial in the center. The face of the clock is brass with applied decoration and incised decorative design in the center of the dial. The filigree hands are black as are the Roman numerals which lie within a silver tone ring. The words. ‘Tempus Fugit’ are within a globe above the face. The base of the clock has two panels and the piece rests on bracket feet. The clock was operational at the time of cataloging.
