Item Details
An original tempera on paper portrait titled Brother Roger at Prayer by artist Father Kieran Quinn O.F.M., dated 1956. The painting depicts the side profile of Brother Roger in prayer, his head slightly bent downward and rosary clutched between his palms. This displays a palette of blue and cream hues in excited brushwork. This is signed and dated to the lower left corner and marked to verso. A news article about the artist’s one man show at Clossons of Cincinnati is attached to verso. The painting is presented in a distressed yellow cream wood frame.

- slight warp to the paper. Tearing to paper backing of frame.
