An oil on canvas portrait of an early 20th century Russian Bolshevik soldier by Petr Pavlov (20th c., Russian). Features bold colors in broad strokes characteristic of traditional Russian art. This historical piece was imported from St. Petersburg, Russia, where it was associated with the Fine Arts Museum of St. Petersburg. Signed by the artist in the bottom right corner, and dated 1965. Mounted in a distressed wood frame with a speckled cream color fillet.
