Framed Fred Morgan "Sea Horses" Lithograph
Item Details
A framed color offset lithograph of Fred Morgan’s Sea Horses (1894). Morgan (1847-1927) was an English painter known for his idyllic depictions of childhood. This piece features a trio of children playing on the beach, with one pretending that the other two are horses. In the corner is the word ‘PEARS’, identifying this as an advertisement for Pears Soap, which Morgan often designed for. The piece is double-matted in brown and set behind acrylic in a finished wooden frame with a gold-painted inner border. The back is wired for wall mounting.
Condition
The frame has some scratches and the matte appears to have some discolored spots.
