National Washboard "Top Notch" Glass No. 865

A vintage washboard from the National Washboard Co., glass washboard number 865 circa 1940’s. During World War II, metal was scarce due to the war effort. Heavy duty glass became the standard for this ‘Top Notch’ board called ‘The Glass King’, a very high end board for the time. Constructed of sturdy pine with textured glass for a scrubbing surface.

Condition

Wear on the wood consistent with age and use. Fading of the ink on lettering. Looks rustic.
