Art Deco Trunk

An Arts and Crafts trunk is circa 1920’s-1930’s. This wonderful trunk has half-sawn oak ‘straps to either side of the center up the front, over the lid, and down the back. The sealed burlap exterior has lovely, but simplistic design in black. It has copper metal to the side edges, at he edge of the lid, at the front and back of the exterior ’stays,’ handles, and to the latches. The leather handles have slides to let them lie flat. The interior is cloth lined.

Condition

The trunk has typical wear for its age with wear to the burlap-like covering, dings and nicks, and loss of the lock flap.
