Blue and White Leicester China

A small set of mid to late 19th century blue and white flow blue china in the Leicester pattern made by Sampson Hancock & Sons of England. This lovely pattern has a border of cartouches which alternate landscape hunting scenes with Victorian floral urn motifs. The center of the plates have a co-ordinating round floral medallion design and the edges are trimmed in gold. The set includes five 9’ plates which are in good condition for age. It also includes five cups and four saucers. Two of the saucers and one cup have cracks and discoloration. All of the pieces in the set have crazing. Marked with the pattern and maker name, S. H. & S., as shown.
Condition
- for age, overall the set is in good condition for age but is crazed throughout and several pieces have brown discoloration. One cup and two saucers have cracks and discoloration and crazing.
Dimensions
Measurement is for the plate. The cups and saucers are 6.25"w x 2"h.
