Vintage Murray Fire Chief Pedal Car Circa 1960s

A vintage Murray Fire Chief pedal car from the 1960s. The Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company started producing car parts in 1919; in the 1930s they began building bicycles and pedal cars. This model, 502 89030, is circa 1965. The Fire Chief is red with white flare trim, pedals that still work and all four wheels intact. A red fire light sits atop just in front of the still functioning fire bell with the original rope pull. The label still sits on the grill indicating the maker and location in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. All original paint and parts.

Condition

Scratches and slight rust. Rubber wheels are dried out and cracked, but still usable. Missing paint from the hub caps, bumper and areas of the car. Car still pedals and is in working order!
