The 1971 single-volume edition of ‘Civil War Naval Chronology 1861-1865,’ compiled by the Naval History Division of the Navy Department, and published by the Government Printing Office. This work consists of the six separate parts as originally published from 1961-1966, and is not continuously paginated. The few minor revisions entail corrections, changes in some illustrations, and deletions of summaries from the original. Also included in this lot is ‘Part I – 1861,’ the 41-page booklet printed in 1961 that made up part of the original series.

Condition

Hardcover binding remarkably intact for such a large volume, with creasing to spine edges and some scuffing. Pencil markings to printed flyleaf. Hinges a bit loose.
