An Ivory Soap commemorative centennial collection for Procter & Gamble employees. This piece of commemorative ephemera was distributed to P&G employees in 1979. The front of the folder reads ‘Celebrating 100 Years Ivory Soap As America’s Favorite.’ Tucked into the inner cover is a ‘Moonbeams 79’ magazine, documenting the history and provenance of Ivory soap. Beneath that, printed on rice paper, is a letter to P&G employees, celebrating the anniversary of Ivory and asserting that P&G employees ‘can all be proud in celebrating this 100th birthday. Also included are five reproductions of historical prints related to Ivory Soap. These include a New Yorker cartoon from 1928, a grocery store poster from 1904, a Saturday Evening Post advertisement from 1907, a Century Magazine advertisment from 1896, and a _Woman’s Home Companion_ advertisement from 1900.
