Offered here by the Waterbury Button Company of Waterbury, CT, these are authentic reproductions of Civil War uniform buttons both for the Union Army and the Confederate Army. These reproductions were made using dies derived from the original tools and plated with 24 karat gold to enhance and protect their appearance. Union Army six buttons include: Cavalry Officer, Ordinance Officer, General Service Enlisted, Infantry, Rifleman, and Artillery Officer. Confederate Army six buttons include: General Service Officer, United Confederate Veterans, General Service Enlisted, Infrantry, Rifleman, and Artillery Officer. Buttons are displayed in a handsome wood shadowbox painted black with gold tone trim and displayed under one blue mat and one gray mat. Certificates of authenticity attached to verso with wire hanger for displaying.
