Vintage Svenskt Tenn Pewter Bowl, Circa 1924
Item Details
A vintage pewter bowl by Svenskt Tenn out of Stockholm, Sweden circa 1924. Estrid Ericson began this design company in 1924 and incorporated the Art Deco movement into many of her early pieces. This round bowl sits on a low pedestal base, with a scalloped border hammered into the edge, and hammered thistle in the middle of the bowl. There are two winged handles on either side. Back markings include the company symbol and ‘A8’. Later pieces work through the alphabet in consecutive years, so the numbering system indicates this is one of her earlier pieces.
Condition
The bowl is scratched up a bit and tarnished.
