A limited edition collagraph titled Island Silhouette by John Ross (American, 1921- ). Ross is a painter, printmaker and Professor of Art at Manhattanville College. He has illustrated many books, and exhibited his work in over 60 solo shows. Ross’s work depicts the geometric shapes and colors of architecture in this selected group of buildings. In his art, Ross concentrates on the examination of color, form, texture and the influence of light. This piece is numbered in pencil ‘97/100’ to the lower left, titled in the center, and signed in pencil to the lower right. The print is mounted under glass and is framed in a brown stained wood frame with a gold tone interior edge.
