Hand-Painted Asian Themed Cupboard

An exquisite, hand-painted cupboard with Asian-themed designs and images. This eye-catching piece has a golden yellow background painted on the front, top, and sides with raised, colorful nature scenes of cranes, swallows, a large bonsai tree, and blossoming lotuses. Gilt detailing and intricate patterns create a border around the main scenes, and a lovely gold-tone escutcheon hosts two pulls to open the cabinet doors, which are painted on the back side with a gold, leafy plant. The same gold, leafy plant in larger scale adorns the reverse of the cabinet. A gold-tone bail pull handle opens a lower drawer. The cabinet sits on c-scroll-styled feet with a delicate floral design painted on the front apron and is outlined in a gold border.
