Klara Sever "Sultry Awakenings" Reproduction Sculpture

A 1979 Austins Productions reproduction plaster sculpture of the original Sultry Awakenings by listed sculptor Klara Sever (United States/Czech Republic, b. 1935). Sever received a formal art education at the School of Art & Design in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, worked as an architectural restoration and is known for her modernist sculptures. Her work can be found in several private collections and has produced work for many corporate commercial companies. The plaster reproduction sculpture of the original Sultry Awakenings features a nude female with extremely long flowing hair, which touches the ground. Her back is arched, head tilted upward and has her arms wrapped around her left leg which is balanced on her right. This is painted a matte black and has an oval tiered mount. Signed to base.
