A 17th Century Spanish Silver Eight Reale Coin recovered from the shipwreck Nuestra Senora de Atocha. This shipwreck from 1622 was discovered off the Florida Keys in 1985. This coin comes from the reign of Philip III and the POTOSI mint. Own an early authentic ‘piece of eight’. These coins are one of a kind as they were hand stamped in the early 1600’s. This coin has the original receipt from the current owner from Herschede Jewelers in Cincinnati in the amount of $900. Weight: 26 grams. Good condition for what it is.
