Vintage Thomas Jefferson Writing Chair by Barnard and Simonds

A vintage, Thomas Jefferson-style writing table and chair by Barnard and Simonds, circa 1940s. This Windsor chair is cherry-stained walnut with an H-style spreader, splayed and rounded spindle legs, and a stick splat on the high back. A small drawer is underneath the tabletop for storing stationary and pens. The original label is on the underside of the chair.

Condition

The finish is worn and dull in areas, there are scratches and dents. Two spokes of the splat are broken and need repair.
