Antique Irish Linen Press Converted to a Bar
Item Details
An antique Irish linen press, circa mid to late 1800s, has been converted into a bar. This impressive piece is crafted with both solid mahogany and veneer. The bonnet has wonderful applied wood dental molding and architectural festooning. The top cabinet has large paneled doors, one is edged with brass, and both have a circular wood inlay design. They open to reveal a lighted cabinet with a green marble top placed on the base of this cabinet allowing it to function as a bar. Love the ‘cut-out’ for ice bucket or beverage bottles. Two glass shelves are placed on the back for more storage. The base cabinet has two cabinet doors which open to reveal a large storage area and two storage niches. The back of the linen press is unfinished. Key present for lock. A wonderful re-purposing of a timeless and classic cabinet. Located in the lower level with walkout. Very heavy, recommend professional movers or bring help, muscle and right size vehicle on pick-up. Contents shown are not included, they are sold separately in this sale.
Condition
some breakage on the base of the lower cabinet. See photo.
