Maggie Meredith Signed Cat Print from Nantucket

A vintage Maggie Meredith (1922-2012) signed Primitive Contemporary style cat print from Nantucket. The artist has pencil signed the print on the lower right quadrant. It depicts two cats, one is dressed and wearing pearls. The print is framed with a matte finish chrome frame and simply matted. After a notorious career in film making and advertising, the artist, who was taught to paint by her grandfather, Tony Pousette-Dart, settled on the Island and began to show her creations at local Art Galleries. Until her death in 2012, Maggie was the oldest living artist in residence on the Island.
