An original oil painting on canvas by listed Southwest artist, Bonnie Casey (1935-). The artist has signed the painting in the lower right quadrant and it is dated 1987. The painting is a unique close-up of prickly ground cover cactus plants painted in hues of green, blue, adobe clay and light gold. It is framed in a wood frame with a silver leaf finish. The artist is from Chicago and presently resides in Arizona. Her study of art began at the Chicago Art Institute, continued at the American Academy of Art culminating with the tutelage of Joe Abrbrescia at the Village Art School. Bonnie has won over 30 juried awards and her paintings and sculpture have been exhibited in Texas, Florida, Michigan and Arizona galleries.
