This 1998 Indy 500 Corvette Convertible Pace car is 1 of only 1163 made by Chevrolet to commemorate the 4th time that the Corvette pace car was chosen to be the official pace car for the Indy 500. This Corvette convertible is mechanically identical to the original – the only difference being strobe lights that were required by the Indianapolis Speedway for safety purposes. Like the original, this Corvette has Radar Blue exterior with bright yellow wheels, and black and yellow leather seats. It is offered with the stunning yellow graphics package, which features a checkerboard design across the sides and tail. Only 86,005 miles. The original pace car was driven at the 1998 Indy 500 by Race Car Great Parnelli Jones. FYI – The winner in 1998 Was Eddie Cheever, Jr. Also include is the bright yellow matching” bra’.
