A print of original painting Uriel d’Acosta Instructing the Young Spinoza by artist Samuel Hirszenberg (Polish Jewish 1865-1908). Gabriel DeCosta, also known as Uriel d’Acosta, became an example of a Jew martyred by the intolerance of his own religious community. He is shown here instructing the child of the renowned philosopher Spinoza. Signed Finn 1902 on lower right in pencil. This print is mounted under glass in a small wood frame with mat.
