A signed, artist proof print titled Bred to Run by Joseph Petro. Lexington, Kentucky native Petro (1933-2011) served as artist-in-residence at Transylvania University and is known for the Kentucky bicentennial stamp and a mural at an Elizabethtown hospital, among other works. This unframed collotype print depicts a long-legged thoroughbred foal. The print is signed in pencil, and labeled ‘artists’ proof’. The print is copyrighted 1970.
