Civil War Remington Zouave Bayonet and Scabbard
Item Details
A Civil War era Remington ‘Zouave’ brass and steel bayonet and scabbard, manufactured for the Remington ‘Zouave’ musket. Scabbard is leather with brass mountings. Bayonet bears several marks, ‘BH’ on the handle is most prominent, ‘S’ and ‘H’ appear on the guard, and ‘H’ on the ricasso.
Condition
The bayonet itself is very good, with general light wear, pitting to the polished finish of the blade, the scabbard is rough, nearly torn-through in one spot, the seam coming apart, flaking.
