A pair of matching Nichols & Stone Windsor-style ‘Rockport’ side chairs. Nichols & Stone dates back to 1762, under the name Nichols Brothers Chair Manufactory. In the 1930s, the company began to focus on Windsor chairs, production continuing to today. These Rockport chairs feature tapered spindle backs and contoured seats that stand on turned, splayed legs supported by an H-shaped stretcher. The chairs are made of solid birch with a mahogany stain finish. The bottoms of the chairs feature debossed Nichols & Stone Co. logos and paper labels.

Condition

Chairs have scratches, chips and worn areas in the finish. The frame is slightly loose.
