Pair of Antique Napoleonic Prints

Item Details

A pair of framed 19th century antique hand-tinted lithograph prints depicting scenes from the Napoleonic wars, with both featuring Napoleon himself. The first is entitled Reddition d’Ulm (‘The Surrender of Ulm’) and depicts a victorious Napoleon accepting the surrender of the leaders of the German city of Ulm, visible through the cannon smoke in the distance. The second piece is entitled On N’Passe Pas (‘We Do Not Pass’), depicting a solider blocking Napoleon’s way with the butt of his rifle. Both pieces are framed in wood frames under glass.

Condition

- normal discoloration to the paper due to age.
