Heywood Wakefield Butterfly Drop-Leaf Dining Table and Chairs

A Heywood Wakefield model 197G butterfly drop-leaf dining table and four model 551A chairs. The table is made of solid birch with a wheat colored finish, and features a rectangular top, a removable leaf, and three arched bases. The chairs have been re-upholstered in a red and yellow striped material. They have contoured backs and splayed, tapered legs. An older version of the table is known as a ‘Triple Wishbone’, because it is without the ‘butterfly’ piece that holds up the drop leaf.

Condition

Varnish wearing thin on chairs.
