A vintage signed replica pottery ewer, in black with a black and burgundy transfer design to a mottled terra cotta background. The underside is marked ‘No 216 / Devil From an Hyca (?) / About 440 B.C. / Priestes in the Eleusinier Mysteriz / Athens – Museum / Made in Greece / By D. Vassilopoulos’. The end part of the title is smeared and difficult to determine.

Condition

- to fair, parts of the transfer design has worn off.
