A grouping of Ute Mountain Indian Tribe pottery signed pitcher & mugs. Beautiful craftsmanship. Each mug has center banding in unique designs and glazes. Both signed J. Taylor. The attractive banded pitcher has wonderful colors of the Southwest of rust, turquoise and deep brown. Signed #31 Ute Mtn Tribe C. House. The Ute reservation is at Towaoc, Colorado on the Ute Mountain Reservation in southwestern Colorado, northwestern New Mexico and small sections of Utah. Many of the designs and symbols on Ute pottery resembles those found in ancestral Pueblo petro glyphs, artifacts and dwellings.
