An exquisite Camille Fauré 19th century Victorian Limoges hand painted polychrome enamel on copper portrait brooch depicting a Pre-Raphaelite woman with long wavy brown hair in traditional period dress against a crimson red backdrop with gilt foil accents, framed in unmarked silver with pull lock clasp in back. Made in Limoges, France. Signed to back C. Fauré. The well known artist C. Fauré (Limoges 1874 – 1956) became famous while designing for Limoges and designed enameled vases as well as jewelry.
