A Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) etching The Draughtsman or Man Drawing from a Cast, circa 1641. Piece depicts an artists working while contemplating a bust. Third and final state, an 18th century impression on laid paper. Matted in acid-free matting and mounted in a molded wood frame with antiqued metallic finish. Update: authentic and as stated, has been removed from frame and un-matted for photography and verification.
Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn was a Dutch painter and etcher. He is generally considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
