An etching by Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) titled Beggar Woman Leaning on a Stick, circa 1646. Work depicts a woman standing with a cane. Piece is very clearly signed in plate by artist in lower left with date. A nice, evenly-printed impression of the second of two states. Piece is matted with acid-free matting and mounted in wood frame with antiqued metallic finish. Update: authentic and as stated, has been removed from frame and un-matted for photography and verification.
Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn was a Dutch painter and etcher. He is generally considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
