Rembrandt Etching "Clement de Jonghe, Printseller"

An authentic etching by Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) titled Clement de Jonghe, Printseller. Etching depicts a seated gentleman in hat and cloak with mysterious shadows cast across his face. Work is signed and dated by Rembrandt in the plate ‘Rembrandt f. 1651’ to lower right. Thought to be a very good impression of the fifth state of six. Piece is matted with acid-free matting and mounted in wooden frame. Believed to be authentic and as stated, and has been removed from frame and un-matted for photography.

Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn was a Dutch painter and etcher. He is generally considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
