1915 Herschede Grand Prize mantel clock.
Item Details
Circa 1915 The Herschede Hall Clock Co. mahogany mantel clock. This clock’s features include a silver tone metal face with black numbers, black hands and brass frame to the glass door. The case features ‘bullet’ shaped accents to the sides and alternate stained carved portions to the bottom. The face is marked ‘Herschede’ to the top of the 6 and ‘Made in Cincinnati, U.S.A.’ to the bottom of the 6. The workings are marked with the number 36693 and the Herschede trademark. The outside of the door with a plaque that indicates that this clock won ‘Grand Prize at The Panama Pacific International Exposition 1915’. There is no key for this clock.
Condition
This clock has good appearance with white paint splatters to the back and some wear and scratches to the face and patina to the brass consistent with age. There is no key for this clock therefore it is untested.
