A John Wayne Trail Boss sculpture by Daniel Monfort (1942- ). This hydro stone cast sculpture features a hand-painted finish and is incised ‘Trail Boss 1982 D. Monfort’ to the verso. A label to the underside reads, ‘This is a Monfort original Western sculpture Boulder, Colorado’. Monfort is a resident of Denver and is well-known for his Western themed works.
