1929 Rookwood Ivory Glazed Elephant Bookends

Item Details

A lovely matching pair of Rookwood elephant bookends in a low lustre creamy ivory color glaze. These elephants are featured with trunks curled up and in a walking stance. Designed by William Purcell McDonald these bookends are hallmarked to their base with the traditional flame mark and mold #2444D. This piece is dated in Roman numerals XXIX (1929).

Condition

- light finish wear consistent with age.
