A signed and numbered George Engel etching with aquatint titled Dry Wash. The piece depicts a snowy landscape with a house and barn in the background, in tones of gray, black, and white. In the foreground the first spring flowers bloom through the snow in bright tones of red. The piece is matted and displayed in a handsome wooden frame. Numbered 2/30. The medium is an etching with aquatint and dry wash hand coloring to the poppy. George Engel (1911-Present) is an American artist known for his paintings and illustrations. His methods are easel paintings and craftsmanship.
