A 1990 fine pewter sculpture by Los Angeles born Western and Wildlife artist Don Polland (1932-2003), entitled Buffalo Spirit. In this solemn ritual, the Indian asks the buffalo spirit for permission to hunt him and promises to use his spirit carefully once the buffalo is done with it. This piece is numbered 1711/2500. The craftsmanship of this piece is remarkable and detail stunning. It sets atop a solid wood base and bears all appropriate markings. Also included is the Certificate of Registration. A wonderful collector’s piece.
