Conservatory Violin

Item Details

A violin marked ‘Conservatory Violin’ under the scroll. The back and ribs are tiger maple. An inner label reads ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis, Faciebat anno’ with a year that begins with ‘17’. This appears to be an instrument made in the style of the well-known Stradivarius brand.

Condition

Finish of violin is worn at the neck and it also has nicks and scratches typical of use. Violin is missing a bridge, a string, and fine tuners. Chin rest is broken.
