Chinese High Relief Carved Vase

Unique vintage artist-signed carved high relief Chinese vase, in a handsome ivory material, and designed with wonderful elephant head handles to each side. The front and back are carved with bucolic Chinese landscapes with mountains and trees framing a lake, and with depictions of Oriental women and children enjoying the vistas. Reticulated scrollwork and featured lotus flowers curve up both sides and border the base, which is accented with a reeded foot and carved dark wood base.
