An original gouache/casien painting on board is titled Hostile Takeover by Toledo artist, Richard Reed. The artist signature is not apparent, as it maybe covered by the professional matting. The back of the painting has a label which attributes the painting to the artist. The piece is framed with a contemporary style black frame. Reed is considered to be one of Toledo’s honored and influential artists. His strong colorful style and technique evokes a nostalgic emotion as the backgrounds fade away in misty vapor juxtaposing a strong story surrounding the characters in the forefront.
