History in Advertising Posters and Prints

An eclectic mix of reproduction prints that give insight into the concepts of early advertising campaigns. The collection starts with ‘Kassama’ by the Beggarstaff Brothers, originally printed in 1894. ‘Kaloderma’ was a soap advertising concept by Jupp Wietz. ’L’Eau des Sirènes’ advertising ladies hair colourant, the original lithograph designed by Jules Cheret, was printed in 1899. The original lithograph for Job cigarettes rolling papers was designed by Alphonse Mucha, in 1897. ‘Chocolate Amatller: Barcelona, 1903’, advertised the wares of chocolatier Antoni Amatller. The original poster for this was also designed by Alphonse Mucha. These prints are framed in a variety of styles, all under glass and matted accordingly.
