Mid-Century Coca-Cola Cavalier 51 Series Vending Machine
Item Details
A mid-century Coca-Cola Cavalier 51 Series vending machine with its original finish. Produced in the 1950s by the Cavalier company, the Cavalier 51 was produced exclusively for Coca-Cola. It has a unique belt-driven vending mechanism that is often referred to as the ‘ammo belt’. Earlier models were produced in the typical all-red design; after 1956, all new models were painted red with a white top to market their ‘Ice Cold’ and ‘Refreshing’ image. All Cavalier 51 models came with the words ‘Drink Coca-Cola’ embossed on the top. This is model C-51-9, serial #318230. Per the current owner, this is a working item but needs to be re-charged as it has been sitting unused for a number of years. It has not been tested by EBTH.
