A limited edition signed Black Maned Lion lithograph by John A. Ruthven (American, 1924 – ). Part of Ruthven’s Safari Series, this lithograph of a fierce black maned lion is numbered 71/5000 on the lower left, and signed on the lower right, marked as Plate IV. John Ruthven is an internationally acknowledged wildlife artist, who uses the same techniques as Audubon, and is frequently considered the 20th century Audubon. Professionally framed by Clossons, this print is mounted under glass in a bronze and brown tone painted frame with integral linen edge.
