Mexican Folk Art Pottery Candle Holder and Various Decor Items
Item Details
A hand-crafted Mexican folk art candle holder, plus various decor items including several woven dried grass figurines. The candle holder depicts a man riding on a cow or bull, with six candle sconces of different sizes along its side and back. The piece has a dark brown finish with darker lines forming geometric pattern. Other decor items include three woven grass figurines including a skeleton, a bird, and a turtle with a small bell inside. This lot also includes a pair of miniature brooms, a dried bundle of aromatic herbs, a dried pepper with seeds which rattle inside, a dried branch with a network of open spaces between the strands of wood, and finally a small carved wood dog painted in bright colors in the style of Mexican artwork.
Condition
- the candleholder has a few small chips and nicks (the tip of one horn, the upper lip).
