An antique Toledo scale. This scale, model number 4645 FP and serial number 244, is a balance with 25 pound capacity. The front of the scale features the company motto ‘No springs – Honest weight’. The Toledo Scale Company was founded on the partnership of inventor Allen DeVilbiss, Jr. and businessman Henry Theobald in 1901. The company was renamed in 1912 and emphasized service and maintenance of machines. This scale, painted black, features a plaque stamped with a the model, serial, and factory numbers. The scale is untested and is being sold ‘as-is’.
