A regal vintage Romweber VIking Oak ‘Grapevine’ pattern executive desk. A behemoth of a desk, with excellent craftsmanship and a myriad of amenities. The piece, bench-made of solid and veneer oak, features carved panels throughout, on all sides, with a grapevine motif, rich moldings and charming dowel pin details, recessed panel doors with a modesty panel, which can double as a bookshelf, a file drawer, drawer and small drawer on each pedestal, on the recto a pair of cabinets, with a pull-out writing surface, a recess in the center for shelves (not present), with hand finished diamond – shaped pulls. A fantastic piece.
Condition
Has some mars on the top, a large water ring, general finish wear throughout, the top is a little loose from the base, recently had a few professional restoration to a few molding pieces.
