A large original oil painting by acclaimed listed Kentucky artist Jim Cantrell (1935- ). This painting was purchased from his studio in Bardstown, Kentucky circa 1990s. In this painting, Cantrell has painted a wonderful depiction of an old time soda fountain in hues of grey, red and ivory with a whimsical placement of the artist portrait in the mirror. A flyer from his first 1993 exhibit at the Headley-Whitney Museum in Lexington, Kentucky is affixed to the verso. His paintings are included in many public and private collections in the United States, including the J.B. Speed Art Museum of Louisville, Kentucky; Mississippi Art Museum; and the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
