An original John Pollins (American, 20th Century) oil on canvas painting. This work depicts a serene landscape with a dirt road to the right and several structures. To the left a stream feeding to a larger body of water with two ships. A cottage sits to the left nestled among trees. This piece is built from delicate strokes that add texture and detail. Signed to the lower right ‘Pollins.’ Presented in an ample frame with foliate detail to outer edge, fluted to center band as it slopes toward the painting and brushed gold tone finish to center.
